Like many Christians around the world, you may have participated in a Daniel fast or detox cleanse at some point in your life. And if you’re like most of those folks, you felt better and lost weight. If you’re like us, you were secretly counting down the days until you could reunite with your favorite foods. Are you curious to discover that we have revolutionized the Daniel Fast by making it a true lifestyle change and a bridge to healthy living?
Sersie Blue
Like many of you out there, Sersie Blue is an overcomer of a profound personal tragedy, which she experienced after health issues during her second pregnancy.
It was in this difficult season of her life she realized a deeper need for the Lord and decided to lean into Him more and participate in a one-month Daniel Fast.
Little did she know that this simple decision would transform her life.
But God knew!
It turns out that combining intentional prayer with a whole-food, plant-based diet was a divine bridge to a breakthrough.
Seeking after God from an early age, she graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications.
She went on to Tyndale College & Seminary, graduating with a Master’s of Divinity in Counseling, and has also completed the health coach program from Wellcoaches at the University of North Florida.
She continually seeks knowledge and wisdom that supports her personal growth and that of others.
In addition, she is co-author of Daniel Fast: Why You Should Only Do It Once, A Prayer for Your Health Journal, and co-host of Healthy for My Purpose Podcast.
As you can see, her passionate pursuit of God, wellness & coaching comes together with Healthy for My Purpose Academy along with the signature program, Daniel Fast: A Bridge to Healthy Living, and Daniel's Plate recipe website.
Gigi Carter
With a passion for all things wellness, Gigi Carter finds her purpose in helping people come up higher in their pursuit of excellence in health and lifestyle.
Her enthusiasm and expertise are evident as one of the masterminds behind Healthy for My Purpose Academy along with the signature program, Daniel Fast: A Bridge to Healthy Living, and Daniel's Plate recipe website.
She founded My True Self, the socially conscious nutrition and wellness practice—where she served clients as a consultant, nutritionist, and personal trainer.
She achieved all of this after 22 years in corporate management roles!
She made the switch in 2016 to pursue her Master’s in nutrition sciences from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and graduated with honors.
Gigi is a licensed Nutritionist in the state of Washington, Diplomate and Certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and a fitness expert.
She has a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell University.
Oh yes, Gigi is also the author of The Plant-Based Workplace, where she’s been interviewed or mentioned in Forbes, The New York Times Opinion, Vegconomist, GreenBiz, and University of Alabama School of Health Professions.
Gigi is also co-author of Daniel Fast: Why You Should Only Do It Once, A Prayer for Your Health Journal, and the children’s book The Spinach in My Teeth.
